Find original, fascinating and flat-out gorgeous gifts at this fine art and craft show and sale at Arts Benicia. Meet the Makers is a benefit sale that offers prints, framed art, jewelry, pottery, art glass, and small sculptures crafted by artists and artisans. The event is designed to delight a holiday shopper's creative streak and fit their budget as well. Festive refreshments will be available. Admission is free.

A few of the many artists participating in Meet the Makers include Robert Chapla, painter; Mike Marcus, fused-glass jeweler; Anthony Riggs, printmaker; Mark Untener & Tina Funcich, potters; and Pam Adams Frey, photographer.

In addition to Meet the Makers, Benicia will host other fine art and craft events: Three glass making artists from Benicia: Nourot, Smyers and Zellique will host a four day Open House Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday December 5, 6, 7, & 8, from 10AM to 5PM at 675 & 701 East H Street in Benicia. Glass blowing demonstrations will be continuous during the four day event. Also, a number of Benicia Arsenal Artist Studios will be taking part in the 3rd annual Unorganized Unauthorized Open Studios and Blues Jam on December 7th & 8th. Visitors to the area can be assured of finding truly unique gifts.

Arts Benicia Gallery is located at 991 Tyler Street, Suite 114 in Benicia’s Arsenal district. Admission is free.


Arts Benicia is a non-profit organization with a contemporary gallery exhibiting the work of selected fine artists and artisans of California with emphasis on Benicia artists. Adjunct activities include poetry readings and workshops, slide shows and talks by exhibiting artists, as well as music and dance events. Arts Benicia is Benicia's official arts body promoting culture and the arts in the area.
