Renny Pritikin, Director of the Richard L. Nelson Gallery and the Fine
Arts Collection at the University of California, Davis, has gathered together
a group of artists whose media for the work in this exhibit consists of
items retrieved from the Snowline Hospice Thrift Store in El Dorado County.
The Hospice has donated all of the materials; from lampshades, golf clubs,
baseball bats, and typewriters; to old furniture, afghans, stereo equipment
and clothing. The artists chosen are noted for their surprising and inventive
work in the found materials genre.
