Several of the artists in Cream have already been acclaimed for their production: John Slepian received the 2002 Bay Area Award in Visual Arts from New Langton Arts; Nellie King Solomon, exhibiting at the Braunstein / Quay Gallery in San Francisco, garnered unequivocal praise in a San Francisco Chronicle Datebook review by Kenneth Baker, who recognized the "sheer unforced lushness" of her paintings; and Lynne Lu recently completed a residency at the Dorland Mountain Arts Colony in Temecula, California. The exhibition opens on Saturday, August 3. A reception for the artists and the public will be held on Sunday, August 11 at 2 pm and an artists' talk will be held on Sunday, September 8 from 3 pm - 5pm.
