Art has always been at the center of Bob's life. Born in Jacksonville, Florida, he was drawing people and animals at an early age, and in high school was often seen drawing portraits for fellow students. Design, drawing and printmaking were his favorite subjects at Jacksonville University in the early 1970's. Moving to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1976, he studied painting at Canada College in Redwood City and at College of Marin.

Over the years, he has continued to try various media and genres. Bob's love of diversity is evident in his choice of subjects and his habit of making each of his pictures a true original. In a current series of drawings and paintings called Canyons of the Mind, Bob seeks to explore some new visual terrain with us. Two of his oil paintings are now showing at www.amateurartwork.com. |
