I was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) in 1998. In 2004 when I was nearly completely paralyzed from the neck down, I discovered digital painting. It has been a valuable way to express myself, a source of fulfillment through creativity, and hopefully, an inspiration to others with severe disabilities or illness. These "Digital Paintings" were created on a computer. The paintings contain no photos or scans. By moving my head side to side and up and down I can move the cursor on the screen. To click the mouse button, I activate a small switch next to my face by bulging my cheek "Bullfrog Style".
I worked on my skills painting Photo-Realism. Most of the techniques I learned from Digital Artist Bert Monroy. |

I have been experimenting with abstract paintings. I enjoy creating
these pieces because I can usually complete one within a day, and they
express emotions or concepts that I feel very deeply.
