Louvre, the Met, the National Gallery, the Norton Simon,
the de Young... Mernie Buchanan travels to great art
museums, sketching from the works of the masters to create a
series of 180 interpretive watercolors. Each small work is complemented with a
colorful hand painted frame to echo the period and style of each painting.
The originals have been exhibited as The Faux Louvre in over 50 art galleries
and fine art festivals in Northern
California and Nevada . A series of colorful
prints in painted frames are unique and affordable. Mernie
also creates fabulous murals and portraits of people and dogs. She is regularly
commissioned to design and paint murals for Bay Area homes, restaurants &
businesses, including the San Francisco Zoo, Community Youth Center
, San Francisco Airport and Delta Memorial Hospital . |
