Lana Carter

Lana Carter was born in Yugoslavia in 1966.

She studied commercial art at the Art Academy in Belgrade where she majored in graphics and poster design in 1989. Upon graduation, Lana focused painting in the styles of photo-realism and pop art. Through her career, she has done numerous solo and group exhibitions across Europe and U.S.A. She has lived and worked in California since 2003.

Some of Lana's exhibitions include: Gallery Hannah Feldmann Bern, Switzerland "Lineart 92", Bruxelles, Belgium "D'ici Et D'Ailleurs", Bruxelles, Belgium Museum of Modern Art Belgrade, Yugoslavia Amsterdam Whitney Gallery, New York

Although Lana specializes in portraits, movie stars, and film scenes, she also paints a variety of other subjects. Some of the stars portraits are done with the knowledge and permission of their agencies.

 

 

Her paintings are part of private collections across Europe and the USA.

Some of the collectors include Ika Panajotovic, former member of Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Clint Eastwood, Emir Kusturica, (Director, winner of two Cannes Golden Palms), former British Ambassador in Belgrade, former American Ambassador in Belgrade and many more.
