“Carin Coleridge’s POPPIES watercolor may be a familiar subject from innumerable California galleries, but she gives the scene a cubist, precisionist edge.” Robert Taylor, The Contra Costa Times, April 30, 2004 I like to call it “Kaleidoscopic”, it changes as you are looking, as you move, or just tilt your head, take a step back, or to the side. Like Art, and Life, contemporary, ever changing. Born in Sweden, and eventually ending up in California, via Michigan and Arizona, I have lived in Benicia since 1999. I studied Art History, painting, drawing and design at Scottsdale Comm. Coll., multimedia at Scottsdale Artists’ School, and watercolor at AZ State U. In Scottsdale I was chosen for several juried art exhibits, at ASU, and at different art galleries and institutions. Since coming to Benicia, I have participated in Art of a Community every year, Benicia Open Studios 2003-2007, Artists of SWEA (Swedish Women’s Educational Association) shows in S.F. and at Stanford.
