I am making transitory sculptures which exist very briefly and "reporting" them on film. I create these sculptures using common and ordinary objects, such as tissue paper, foil, and plastic wrap, a sheet of burlap and corrugated lampshade which has been disassembled to form an elongated sheet. If I like what happens, and what happens is usually accidental, I make a photograph.

What I am doing is exhibiting my interest in forms, shapes and design. I have always been fascinated with light, texture and shadow and how these elements expand the essentials of shape and design. Lineal and curvilinear shapes that are enhanced by light and shadow. All these items are photographed to communicate visual sculpture. dell davis |
