Painting is like music and in my paintings I try to capture beauty as music does. When I paint I get into myself to express something that I see, feel or imagine, be it a cloud, flower, reflections on water or the expression on someone’s face. I paint for myself; it is an added bonus if other people appreciate my work.
Oil paint is my preferred medium due to the texture, sheen and feel. I paint landscapes en plein air, still life, floral and people (figures or portraits) and have no preferences between any of the categories, but it is wonderful to be out in the open air on a beautiful day painting.
Taken many classes
and workshops, my art is constantly growing as am I. |
