My degree in art is an ancient one from a small mid-western college and my creativity since graduation has consisted primarily in raising children, vegetables, and money to live on. I "took" to life drawing 8-9 years ago when I first tried it. I find it very challenging and thrilling to get a "good picture" on those occasions when "everything works." I think of myself as the "Grandma Moses of nudes," no disrespect to Moses I hope. |

Since I took up drawing again, I have entered many regional shows -- have been accepted in some, won a few prizes, and some pictures are in private collections. My work has been exhibited in Hong Kong, North Carolina, Oahu, Hawaii as well as San Francisco, Berkeley, Benicia, Redding, Roseville, Chico, Placerville, Danville, Antioch, UC Santa Cruz, Stockton, and Marin, California. |
| I work in pastels, acrylic, and lately have been trying watercolor. Some of my pictures are scenes that I think about and make up, like oil refineries, cities, power poles, oceans and beaches. Most of my work consists of portraits and drawings of models. |
