I am interested in expressing the elusive body of our minds, our psyche, memories and intuition that we wear invisibly woven into our physical bodies. This body of our memories and spirit has a sharp and total richness in it's being, yet as soon as we try to focus exactly on it, we lose touch with the intense clarity that we perceive when a feeling or a memory suddenly comes upon us. My work feels like an intermediary state between the elusive soul of our thoughts and memory, and the tangible. The dresses are a way of looking at the invisible yet not probing so directly that the invisible slips away. They are right at the doorway of the intangible, a remnant of the skin of feeling. They give form to what cannot be said, and are the remaining husk of what was said.

The juxtaposition of the ethereal and the earthly leads to contemplating the evolving nature of body in our time, exploring the combination of the ancient roots of our past with our current intellectual virtual world.  These pieces speak of memory, of vision and transition, a form moving in a breeze, a gauzy layer, containing bits of thoughts, containing emptiness, speaking of what was left, what may come, gathering together experience and possibility, existing.
