Terry Hughes received his bachelor's degree in fine arts from Chico State, then taught high school ceramics for 8 years at College Park High School in Pleasant Hill. He started painting again in 2005 after joining Arts Benicia and taking workshops from Nikki Basch Davis, Robert Chapla, Warren Dreher, Bill Rushton and Jerrold Turner. |

After a 33 year break, I'm painting again plein air style. I enjoy the outdoor approach where you must work at a faster pace inorder to capture the changing light and moment. I'm a colorist with an impressionistic view of the world around me, enjoying this new journey. |
