I work with the human figure and the human condition, but try to leave enough ambiguity in the expression to allow for viewer participation. I both paint and sculpt. Most of my paintings are fairly large-scale acrylics and the sculptures are high fire clays with low fire glazes. The inspiration and execution of the works in each media are presently different. Eventually, my goal is to have a common genesis and create a visual dialog between the painting and the sculpture. |
