Biganess Livingstone

Biganess received a painting grant from Radcliffe early in her career. She earned her BFA from the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston and her MFA from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Biganess was a Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley, Menasha for 15 years before receiving Emeritus status and retiring to California in 1993. She served on the Board of the Milwaukee Art Museum and the Wisconsin Arts Board and received both a grant and a purchase award from the latter. She is included in Who's Who in American Art. Her work was shown in Boston, Chicago and Wisconsin before her move to California. In California, she was chosen by Claudia Chapline, Stinson Beach, to show in Introductions '95 and was awarded a two-person solo by Stephen McGough, Director of the Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento, among other honors. Her work is in the collections of the Chase Manhattan Bank, the Neville Museum, Green Bay, Radcliffe College, and University of Wisconsin, Madison, the Sheraton Hotel Corporation, Boston, and Goldberg Moser O'Neill Advertising, San Francisco, CA.
