Jon and Charlene McNally are a husband and wife team working in Avalon Arts Studio in Benicia. Jon has been a photographer for over 30 years a Charlene is a digital artist. Together they create art/photography fusion.

Charlene was working on porcelain art dolls mostly in the fantasy realm when Jon retired as a photojournalist. Through a series of creative forays their work emerged as a synthesis. The costumes, settings, and evocative feel of their unique portraiture reflect this blending of talents.

Jon retired from the Contra Costa Newspapers in 2001 as Chief Photographer. He was instrumental in converting the newspapers to an all digital system.

Charlene is a web designer and digital artist. Her portfolio can be found at www.avalon-arts.com. She has always been involved in the world of fairies, and serves as Fairy Witch Ambassador to the world of Avalon.
