Born in Baltimore, MD, raised in Pittsburgh, PA (diehard Steelers fan), attended Penn State University received B.S. in art education 1964, for Masters credits attended Fairfield University, CT, University of Pittsburgh, PA , Hayward State, CA, Solano Community College, CA, and University of Phoenix, CA.

Love to travel-have seen many parts of the USA, Europe, Africa, and a little of Mexico and some of the islands close to the US.

40 years of teaching art, two years in Connecticut, the inner city of Bridgeport, moved back to Pittsburgh, inner city schools of Pittsburgh until 1985 when move to California occured, taught at Benicia High School until 2004......subjects mostly high school art, ceramics, and advanced placement studio art. honors... elected local teacher of the year Vallejo Elks twice, Solano junvenile justice and delinquency prevention youth service award twice, Mason Mcduffy teacher award twice, and George Druelett award by the class of 1989 and 1992 currently volunteering (art teaching) at children's learning center, Alameda and Roots of Unique Awareness, Oakland.

As a member artist of Arts Benicia current work is in ceramics, designing one of a kind decorative masks (inspired by famous artists or ethic designs), also useful pottery, plates, vases, and cups....returned to some acrylic painting in January...plans to continue in both mediums.
