Approach and Attitude:

I alternate working from live models, from imagination, and from classic art. When depicting animals, or working from life, I give the subject dignity and fierceness. My style is usually naturalistic. It shows the sense of energy, weight, and balance that I cultivate in my hatha yoga practice. When working from classic art, I avoid mannerism. I learn from the artist's vocabulary of forms, but I respond in my own way to the subject.
