Jennifer Prochazka brings to jewelry and metalsmithing a unique mix of art, architecture, and design. With an array of ancient and modern techniques at her command, including granulation, repousee, filigree and precious metal clay, she creates one-of-a-kind works of wearable art that are inspired by her love of nature, line, texture, collage and precision. Jennifer uses precious metals and stones to express her thoughts and visions of the world, combining her diverse interests, experiences and skills into each piece. “I am interested in the idea of using fire and force to create works of beauty, of using these inherently destructive forces to create new images and forms. I find myself continually balancing between destruction and creation.” |
