M. Regala is a serious painter who feels the excitement and enjoys the
fun of painting. For Roland, the excitement is found in the colors, the
lines, texture and form. His works in acrylic touches upon the religious,
abstracts and still life. But Roland will admit that his love is modern
art, from Picasso to Chagall to Miro and to Klee. Roland was born in the Philippines. It was at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila that Roland earned his bachelor's degree in fine arts, major in advertising and graphic design. He taught at the same university after he graduated. Later, at the California College of the Arts in Oakland, Roland took a special graduate course in graphic, package and advertising design. With his natural ability in the arts combined with his formal education, Roland expanded his horizons to delve into graphic design. |
