Like any art form, photography is a way to express or at least try to express those ideas that keep popping into our brains. Sometimes things just happen to go right when you have a camera in your hand. Many times you get an image better than you could have ever hoped for. Photography brings us memories of our travels, the pleasures of people and pets we have loved or still do, an abstract form or nature. The list of photography's importance is endless. |

Ten years ago, Christie began studying photography as a part time evening student. Her eye for design and framing an image thru the viewfinder were innate. Though with life experience and more classes there were changes and improvements in the process and still are. She learned the technical skills of becoming an archival printer, framer and the correct way to present her work for exhibition thanks to a few still admired teachers. She regularly participates in Arts Benicia's Art Auction, Art of a Community and Open Studios. Her fine art exhibits have included the Fairfield Art Center, Vacaville Art League, Bookshop Benicia, the Benicia Library Gallery and Hair Solano in Berkeley. Christie also studied the commercial side of photography and photographs art, product, and people in her studio at 940 Tyler St. Studio 9 in Benicia. She also works on location and digitally restores old, black and white damaged photographs. |
