Gregg Valley has recently relocated to Benicia from Pittsburgh, PA. Gregg has been creating vibrant, lively and unique images ever since his graduation in 1986 with a BFA in illustration from Carnegie Mellon University.

After working in the publishing industry for many years using a colored pencil style, he has developed a digital technique that he calls “facetism.” This is achieved by blocking out large shapes within an image, then cutting them up into many smaller shapes, which are then individually colored.

This unique style lends itself well to a wide variety of national clients including the National Wildlife Federation, National Public Radio, PetSmart, as well as many other magazines, newspapers and publishers.

Recently Gregg has been adapting his style to large scale public art projects. He created an 1,875 square foot painting in 2005, and in 2006 finished a 60 foot tall painting in the city of Pittsburgh.
