Arts Benicia began in 1986 when a small group of art lovers dedicated themselves to expanding the local community’s exposure to and appreciation of the arts. In 1989 Arts Benicia was recognized as a non-profit organization and was designated the official arts body for the City of Benicia. |

| With 2400 square feet of space in the historic Benicia Arsenal, Arts Benicia has created an Arts Center and Gallery that has become the nucleus of an extensive community of studio artists. |

Arts Benicia’s diverse exhibition schedule features the work of many local and regional artists, providing opportunities for artists at many different levels of experience to show and sell their work. The Gallery also hosts numerous cultural events, performances and programs throughout the year. |
