"If you really look, you'll find beauty in the most mundane subjects: some luscious color; a shape, smooth and touchable, sensuous, or surprisingly abrupt, rough; a close-up of an item we usually rush past, or which rushes past us; most of all, how light touches and changes things, depending on the time of day. Sometimes the beauty is in the nostalgia provoked by a homely subject. That's how I see it. And that's always what I'm trying to portray." |
