| Bio: Melanie Hofmann is a digital and textile fine artist. She is a graduate of the California College of Arts and Crafts with a BFA degree in Textiles. Her work has been featured in the New Media Connections event at the Tapestry in Talent Festival in San Jose at the Tech Museum, in the San Francisco Chronicle, and in the 2000 Taugu Textile Design Competition in Taegu, Korea. Seven of her framed limited edition digital art prints are in the collection of Lifescan, Inc. in Milpitas, CA. |

Artist Statement: This digital work began as painted and drawn work on paper. I scanned the work into the computer and altered it with Photoshop software. These pieces are stills of a new abstract video piece that I'm currently developing. With video editing software I can shape dynamic interactions of art work using dissolve and motion effects. |
