Scott Zoog first experienced the art world through his mother, a painter and sculptor, and his father, a painter and graphic designer. After moving from Columbus, Ohio to Northern California, he took drawing and painting classes and worked in construction, cast stone, and eventually art glass. After several years of fabricating architectural glass for sites around the world, Scott left to open his own studio.

His studio is located in the heart of the diverse artist community of Benicia's historic Arsenal district.  Fueled by the constant supply of creative energy in the surrounding area, Scott's mediums have grown to include metal sculpting, neon, glassblowing, painting and photography.
"Although I admire work that hides its process through technical wizardry, I feel that in my own work it is more important to see how the pieces come together. I see the fragility of glass as an important part of my creative process. When a piece breaks, I see it as an indication that the piece isn't finished. For me, glass is a metaphor for life. To be happy and at peace, I must not be attached to how I envision the piece, but instead acknowledge that the glass has a life of its own."

Scott has consistently shown his work in numerous exhibits, galleries and civic sites, and his work is included in many private collections.
