The importance
of volunteers to the success of the program.
Today, when many families need incomes from two jobs to survive, we
are fortunate that people donate their service to support Arts Benicia
(a non-profit organization with a modest staff and limited budget).
The tireless work of our volunteers is essential to making us successful.
We
need you and you need us....
What kind
of volunteers are we looking for?
Art lovers of all ages, civic-minded community supporters, folks who
want to get involved with the arts at many levels - from docenting to
helping install exhibits; from giving a workshop to helping with a carpentry
project. Art collectors who want to see art as it is happening and add
to their collections. We need people who will share their time and talents
to help stimulate, educate and nurture cultural life in Benicia.
Volunteer
programs at Arts Benicia:
Membership, Docenting, Hospitality, Finance, Marketing/Public
Relations,
Development, Volunteer Coordination, Exhibition Installation.
Activities Include:
Help install art, be a gallery docent, man a booth at the farmers
market, telephone members, prepare mailings, design and produce graphics,
find potential exhibit sponsors, write grants, take photographs at receptions,
setup and breakdown events, lend the use of truck/equipment, and
in general, just getting done what needs to get done!
